An incredible pair of natural Ceylon sapphire?cufflinks from the Art Deco (ca1920s) era! Crafted in smooth platinum, each of these double-sided cufflinks has a rounded face and?the rich sapphire cabochons?are smoothly polished and bezel set in an open back frame. Their?incredible?blue color has not been heat-treated and shows some subtle natural inclusions throughout each stone. Together, they have a combined carat weight of approximately?37.5ctw. The backs of the cufflinks are connected by a simple?platinum bar?link and loop connectors. Accompanying the cufflinks is a Gemological Report (#2211920474) issued by GIA (Gemological Institute of America) in August of 2021. A classic?pair of gemstone cufflinks, they would look fantastic worn by a distinguished gentleman!
Measurements:?The natural sapphire cabochons vary slightly in shape and size. On average, they measure?nearly 15/32" long, slightly less than 11/32" wide, and are about 1/4" thick. The bar links and connectors measure 1" long.
Condition: The overall condition of the cufflinks is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the platinum?setting or connecting links, and the sapphire?stones are intact and securely set. Some natural inclusions are present within each of the 4 sapphire cabochons, which appear throughout the center and the surface. This is attributed to the normal characteristics of natural gemstones and adds to their unique, beautiful appearance.
